Of blog titles and a new beginning...

After watching Charlie Hoehn's "The New Way to Work" video on YouTube, I have decided to take his advice and build myself an online presence. You can watch the video on the need for an online presence.

After contemplating on which free weblog providers to use, I decided to use Blogger, as I have experience putting in meta-tags for an acquaintance's weblog, which was essential in building my online presence.

The title of the weblog came after watching one episode in Harvard University's Justice with Michael Sandel when he was discussing utilitarianism and quoted John Stuart Mill "It is better to be a human being dissatisfied than a pig satisfied; better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied. And if the fool, or the pig, are a different opinion, it is because they only know their own side of the question. The other party to the comparison knows both sides…".

As you can choose from any combination of human being dissatisfied, pigs satisfied or fools satisfied, I went with "Socrates Dissatisfied" as it was more high brow. I did tell you I was trying to build an online presence...

My postings title would be still inspired by JRR Tolkien's Chapter in the Lord of the Rings (the book not the movies). Read the books if you want to know.

So here's the start of the memoranda for my propaganda... I hope you will enjoy it.

Now, I need to go and figure out how to put in meta-tags to my template...
